2. Your Rights as a Data Subject
You have the right at any time to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). You may withdraw consent you have given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR).
Right to object: Where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR), you may object to that processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority competent for our law office is: Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information), Postfach 3163, 65021 Wiesbaden.
3. Accessing the Website / Server Logs
This website is operated by an external service provider which processes the data on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions (processing on behalf of a controller pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR). When the website is accessed, technical data transmitted by your browser is processed automatically: IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, referrer as well as browser type and operating system. The purpose is the technical provision of the site and its security. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in trouble-free and secure operation).
Processing may also take place outside the European Union or the European Economic Area. In that case it is carried out on the basis of appropriate safeguards within the meaning of Art. 44 et seq. GDPR, in particular the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission. This data is not merged with other data sources.
4. Encryption
This website is transmitted exclusively in encrypted form (TLS). You can recognise this in the address bar of your browser.
5. Contacting Us
This website does not contain any contact forms. You can reach us by e-mail, telephone or WhatsApp. If you contact us by one of these routes, we process the information you provide in order to deal with your enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. Your information is subject to attorney-client confidentiality and is not passed on to third parties without your consent. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into an attorney-client relationship), otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Please note that an unencrypted e-mail could be read by third parties while in transit. For confidential information, the telephone and a personal appointment are therefore equally available to you.
We erase your enquiry as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose stated. If your enquiry leads to a mandate, the periods set out in section 9 apply. Statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.
6. Contact via WhatsApp
If you contact us via WhatsApp, your telephone number and the content you send are transmitted to WhatsApp Ireland Limited; data may also be processed outside the EU or the EEA. We have no influence over this; the provider's own data protection provisions apply in addition. The legal basis for the processing carried out by us is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
If you would prefer not to use WhatsApp, you can equally reach us by e-mail or by telephone.
7. Map Display
On the contact page you can display a map showing the location of our law office. The map is loaded only after you click on „Load map". Without that click, no connection to the map provider is established and no data is transmitted to it.
If you load the map, your IP address and further technical data are transmitted to Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; processing outside the EU or the EEA cannot be ruled out in this context. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time with effect for the future by calling up the page again without loading the map.
At several points on the website, our address is additionally linked to a map service. These references are pure links: data is only transmitted once you click the link and call up the provider's site.
8. Digital Assistant (Chat)
The digital assistant on this website works exclusively locally in your browser using predefined answers. Your entries are not transmitted to a server, not stored and not analysed; they are not passed on to third parties. The assistant does not replace individual legal advice.
9. Processing of Data in Connection with a Mandate
Within the framework of a mandate, we process personal data in order to perform the attorney's contract and to comply with statutory obligations. Attorney-client confidentiality applies, as do the retention periods under professional, commercial and tax law.
10. Storage Period
We store personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes stated or as prescribed by statutory retention periods.
11. Cookies, Analytics and Embedded Content
This website does not set any cookies for analytics, advertising or tracking purposes. No analytics services, no tracking pixels and no advertising networks are used. No profiling and no automated decision-making take place.
Fonts and all other design elements are delivered from our own server; no external fonts are loaded. Apart from the map described in section 7, no third-party content is embedded.
